Manx Fell Runners Head to the Howgills

A group of eight athletes travel to the Howgills tomorrow (Saturday) for the Weasdale Horseshoe Fell Race, the penultimate English Championship race of the 2007 season.
The 8-mile course, which includes 2000ft of ascent, starts & finishes from the Ravenstonedale Show Ground at Newbiggin-on-Lune. Unfortunately the Agricultural Show has been cancelled due to the current F&M restrictions, but the race goes ahead as planned.
Expectations will be high after cancellation of the previous trip in May due to inclement weather. Simon Skillicorn should lead the way for the Manx contingent, closely followed by Tom Cringle who will be hoping to continue his excellent, latter season form.
