Great result by Rich Sille last weekend at the lake district mountain trial. This classic fell event tests both fitness and navigation skills and is one tough graft!

[ September 9, 2007; ] Christine has already reminded everyone in her post that a lot of the Laxey course is on private land belonging to Gills father John Corlett of Ballacowin Farm. John has kindly agreed to allow access to anyone who fancies a recce of the course this coming Sunday 9th September.

The next event in the Rentokil Manx Fell Running League takes place on Sunday 16th September 2007 with the James Coulson Classic Laxey Fell Race, sponsored by Buchannan & Pitts. Paul Sheard finished an excellent 20th position at Ben Nevis at the weekend, finishing in a time of 1hr 46 19, just ahead of past Manx Mountain Marathon winner Paul Thompson from Clayton le Moors. The race was won by Bingleys Ian Holmes in 1hr 32 57.
