Posted on December 5th, 2007 by admin
Tom contacted home this morning having just completed the Everest Marathon in just over 6 hours after a gruelling two week trek and illness in the last few days.
He is looking forward to getting home on Monday.
More details when he gets back.

Had a recent email from the man himself:
“Its all over! Thank god! Hardest month of my life
Unfortunatly I got food poisoning, Gardia, lost a filling, sprained both my ankles in training runs, but did complete the race!
Finished 10th from the rest of world runners in 6hr 12, so pleased enough, on Sunday I could barely get out of the tent from illness, so just getting to the end in one piece was a miracle! Its like starting the MMM having just finished the MMM!”
Well done Tom brilliant effort
Obviously next years MMM will be a piece of p—s after that.
The half will be even easier!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Fantastic effort Tom, well done that man!!!
Nice to see IoM on the list

Hi All
Many thanks for your kind words. Simon, you know I’m addicted to Yak burgers!! Good to be back, very tough race, just pleased to get to the end after a rocky road to the start! Was great scenery though, a fantastic place, but maybe just for taking pictures and drinking tea…
Hope to see you all at the hill race on Saturday, my legs need some real work to get them going between now and then!
Welcome back Tom,
I expect you to be flying on Saturday after all the high altitude training!!!!
When is the slide show?
Thanks Paul. Don’t worry I’ll be able to bore you all senseless with a slideshow very soon!!
There’s too much oxygen down here to run now, it’s making me light headed !!
