Manx Fell Runners

Round three of the Rentokil Manx Fell League takes place on Sunday 24th February 2008 with the Arthur Jones Fell Race, sponsored by Ian Ronan Joinery. This challenging new addition to the league is 15 miles in total, with 4000ft of ascent. Signing on is from 9.00am to 9.45am, for a 10am start, at the picnic area at Ballakilpheric (SC216712). Entry fees are £3 for club runners and £5 for unattached. Minimum age is 18 years. Competitors are advised to reconnoitre the course before race day and those who anticipate taking over three and a half hours to complete the race are requested to compete the early start time at 9am, please contact Sharon on 418364 to register. Please be advised that the Thie Keeil checkpoint will close at 1pm. In the interests of safety all competitors must carry windproof whole body cover, other body cover appropriate for the weather conditions, map and compass suitable for navigating the course, whistle and emergency food.
