  1. Marshals are required to cover the Narradale. At present we have no volunteers and we will need a minimum of four (one more than we had planned as we need to check everyone through at the Bungalow) Please get in touch if you can help especially those who need to do their marshals stint to qualify for the league. Failure to have insufficient cover will mean the race will be cancelled.

There are only three races remaining in this years Rentokil League and there are still quite a few runners who have not volunteered to do their marshaling stint.
The new marshaling system has worked very well with the organisers knowing who will be helping at each race. It is not acceptable that a minority seem reluctant to do their bit. They will of course be excluded from the league if they are not forthcoming.

  2. That should read failure to have sufficient cover (you know what I mean!)

  3. Marshals are still required for next weeks race.

As well as one more at the Mountain Box we need somebody at the Bungalow.

Competitors should note that they are not permitted to cross over the mountain road at the Bungalow in order to make their way to the Mountain Box via the Verandah. (sounds daft but the question has already been asked)

The early start is for those runners who expect to finish near the back of the field.
Permission for any runner to start early is at the descretion of the organisers.

  4. Please note that CP6 on the route has been slightly changed. Take a look on the Narradale page for the new GR.

  5. Have already you got me in a marshal slot Richie?

I have offered via the forum but heard nothing yet.
I hope the weather bucks up.

  6. Sorry Bridget I have now e-mailed you.

We now have full marshal coverage for Sunday. Could Ant, Tony and Peter e-mail their mobile numbers to me please.

There are still a number of runners who have not volunteered to do their marshaling stint. We introduced this system to avoid having to cancel races due to lack of officialls and it has proved a success. It is very disappointing that a minority will have to be excluded from the league because they are not prepared to do their bit.

  7. The early start that’s been proposed for the slower of us…

Will it still be OK to pitch up for a 9am start? And how much is the entry?

    Cheers

  8. Richie,

My mobile number is 460473. My Dad is going to marshal in my place, as I am away for the rearranged Laxey race, so have to do this one to complete the minimum number of races.

    Cheers,

    Ant

  9. If an is forthcoming, please post it on the forum, as I am in the IoM already… out of e-mail coverage!

    Cheers

  10. Whoops. An answer that is!

  11. Hi Simon C

Entry is £3 or £5 if unattached.

You can enter on the line and it is ok for you to go on the early start. Obviously if you are from off-island we don`t know what standard you run at, so we will give you the benefit of any doubt.

Could all runners please note that full safety equipment must be carried comprising of map, compass, waterproof jacket and leggings.

  12. Sorry

    And whistle!

  13. Hi Richie

    My mobile number is 466253

  14. Thanks for that. I’ll be there for a 9am start.
    Cheers
