Great Start to 2008 Hill League
Their was an excellent turnout of 40 runners for the first of the Isle of Man Bank sponsored winter hill races held at Glen Roy today. Manx fell champion Simon Skillicorn took the well fought for honours from Tom Cringle who just stayed ahead of a fast approaching Ian Gale and Brian Osbourne. Rachael Franklin, who always delivers an impressive run on the Manx hills, took the junior and ladies victory, second junior was Michael Williams in an excellent 16th overall.
It was great to see some new faces taking up the challenge, don’t miss the next race at Peel Hill on 15th November which also incorporates the Isle of Man Junior Fell Championships.
