Great Racing at 2008 Junior Hill Championships
Posted on November 15th, 2008 by TomC
The Isle of Man Bank sponsored 2008 Junior Hill Championships saw some fantastic racing today across all the age groups. There was an excellent turnout of 60 juniors taking on the challenge at Peel Hill with all completing the testing courses in great style.
The race times showed that there is some excellent young fell running talent on the island.

Well done to all the juniors in yesterdays Championships. Everyone ran extremely well with some fantastic performances.
The finish to the boys under/15s was one of the best I have ever seen, total commitment by Mike Williams and Sammy Holt. Absolute top notch.
We had an entry of 62 juniors which must be very close to being a record. The new course used for the first time this year proved popular with runners and spectators alike. A good crowd was able to watch most of the action in the three races and sportingly gave the runners the acknowledgement they all deserved.
Many thanks to Peel Commisioners for access and to all the many helpers who worked tirelessly to ensure the championships ran smoothly.
Also well done to Gianni for his impressive win.
