Tight Racing at Greeba
Posted on January 25th, 2009 by TomC
There was a great turnout yesterday of just over 50 runners taking on the Greeba Fell race won in heavy going conditions by Simon Skillicorn. Sarah Curphey took an excellent ladies win on her fell debut.

Many thanks to all the marshals yesterday. It was a beautiful day but a bit to cold to be hanging around up in the wilds!
Also thanks to sponsor Ken Watterson and the officialls at the finish and to everyone at Cronk Dhoo Campsite for their help.
Finally thanks to the landowners for access.
By all accounts a great race that was only dicided on the final descent. Well done Simon and Tom. Well done also to Sarah who was first lady on her debut on the fells . She headed an excellent entry of 8 ladies. As at St Johns it was good to see so many new faces having a go. Most impressed with Ekon on his debut. A bit different to his usual sport of rugby!
