    Many thanks to all the officialls and marshals for their usual splendid job.

    Great to see 3 battling it out at the front. The results show a fairly comfortable win for Simon bit it was a lot closer than it seems.

    Only 17 starters which was a great disappointment. In fact the last few races have been fairly poorly supported. Do we need some big changes in the league to encourage more people. Your views would be welcome.

    I think the poor numbers for the past two races are mainly due to the summer school holidays, maybe have less races during school hols!

    Was a small field on Sunday. It would seem that rounding off the year with 2 short/medium races (CNB/Laxey) seems to keep the interest in and that also having EV in the depths of summer may be more attractive to some (then again the popularity of the 2nd long race is always very much subject to the numbers on the Arthur Jones)

    A few potential starters opted out of EV because they didn’t know the route…..

    I rece’d part of EV with experienced runners before race day and this was invaluable for a novice. I still managed to go off line in a couple of the unfamiliar sections and correcting hurts during a long run especially when you meet trees down Slieau Dhoo.

    If rece opportunities were identified/published in advance of some runs it may generate interest. I rece’d Greeba with at least 10 people in Feb; a well supported event.
