James Coulson Laxey Fell Race 2009

The James Coulson Fell Race is the final round in this years Rentokil Fell League. It takes place on Saturday 26th September and will be sponsored by Buchanan and Pitts for the 18th consecutive year. The 8.5mils course starts and finishes at Glen Roy Farm and includes 2,200ft of ascent.

Start time is 2.00pm for the main race with an earlier start at 1.30pm for any runner expecting to take over 1hr 50mins. Registration will open at 1.00pm

As the race is held under FRA rules full safety gear must be carried. There will be a kit inspection before the start.
Minimum age is 18 years on day of race.
All competitors should note that a large portion of the route is on private land and therefore not open to recce.  These sections will be flagged for race day

    Thanks to the marshalls for today - I really enjoyed the race, even though I managed to take a unplanned detour. The tea and cake at the end was much appreciated. Cheers.
