Final Round of the 2009 Winter Hill League

The final round in this years Isle of Man Bank Winter Hill League takes place on Saturday 12th December, this will be the last fell race of 2009!

Venue is St Johns on an excellent 2.8mile course based in Slieau Whallian Plantation. Please note the start time advertised in Peter Macs column is wrong. The race will start at 1.30pm with registration from 12.45pm until 1.15pm in the car park opposite the Farmers Arms.  All competitors please use said car park rather than parking on the Patrick Road.

The presentation of awards for the league will take place at the Tynwald Inn at 3.00pm

Two videos of last years race are below thanks to Murray Lambden of manxathletics.com and Steve Partington

  1. Nearly everything advertised in Peter Mac’s column is wrong! It’s been a constant source of annoyance in the cross country season so far when you send information in to the paper and something totally different appears in Chit Chat!

  2. My photos are a bit blurred, I’m afraid (not enough light), but they are here:- http://picasaweb.google.co.uk/lewis.veale/StJohnsHillRace12thDec2009#

  3. thanks again to marshalls, timekeepers and organisers for another great race. That was a tough one. I need to do some proper training. One or two runs a week are clearly not enough!!!!
    What great day! Thanks again.

  4. Another great series, well done to all involved. I hear there is talk of a summer hill league. Sounds good to me.
