Manx Mountain Marathon 2010

The organising committee for next years Manx Mountain Marathon have received some great news in the past week.Firstly Okells Brewery have agreed to continue their sponsorship of the event which, incredibly, goes back over 20 years.
Secondly the event makes a return to the Vasque Ultra Running Championships. This championship is a 12 race series that was first held in 2007. It is growing in stature each year with entries increasing considerably as more and more athletes look for new and harder challenges.

Did the race last year and loved it. Well organised with a fabulous route. May I make a suggestion? Will the 2010 race have official photographers taking snaps at strtegic places along the route and at the end? Would have loved a souvenir of the race as well as a photo of me complaining about my knees at I descend to the checkpoint at Fleshwick!

Just a short note to congratulate you all on a fine promotion of this year’s Manx Mountain Marathon. It was good to see a considerable number of entries, a lot more than in my time, and this is a fine achievement. In addition, Manx Fell Runners shone in coming second in the team race, and this is also to be commended.
I shall try and get over sometime for the Marathon, but I cannot say when. In the meantime I wish MFR a successful fell running year for 2010.
