Great Start to 2010 at St Johns

Rob Sellors splashing about! (Murray Lambden)There was a record equaling number of entries for the first fell race of 2010 held at St Johns in crisp and cold conditions. Lloyd Taggart took a resounding victory in the race from Ian Gale and Nigel Armstrong, with the Fantastic Performance from Oliver Lockley (Stan Hall)ladies win going to Jackie Lee.  Top junior was Oliver Lockley with a victory equally as impressive as Lloyds finishing 8th overall and almost 4 minutes clear of second junior Shaun Moore.

  1. Many thanks to all the marshals and officials on New Years Day. Also thanks to sponsor Supercards and to DAFF and landowners for access.

Another excellent entry with some superb racing. Lloyd was different class but what a battle for the placings! Jackie was top notch as per usual and top junior Oliver Lockley truly outstanding.

My performance of the day though would go to Roger Moughtin who was running his first fell race for a couple of years. To see Roger on the start line again after all his health problems was absolutely brilliant.
