The conditions proved to be excellent, although a bit breezy, for the new Arthur Jones fell race held today. The 15 mile course and 4000ft of ascent proved testing, especially as the majority of the climbing is in the last third of the race, but all competitors raced it well.

There was a splendid turnout of almost 70 runners for the Supercards Sponsored St John’s Fell Race today. Conditions were damp but the going was good with some excellent performances throughout the field.
