MMM 2010 Part of the Vasque UC
Posted on November 30th, 2009 by admin
The organising committee for next years Manx Mountain Marathon have received some great news in the past week.
Firstly Okells Brewery have agreed to continue their sponsorship of the event which, incredibly, goes back over 20 years.
Secondly the event makes a return to the Vasque Ultra Running Championships. This championship is a 12 race series that was first held in 2007. It is growing in stature each year with entries increasing considerably as more and more athletes look for new and harder challenges. For information on the series take a look here and for more info on ultra running takeĀ a look at runfurther.com
Entry forms for next years race are now available here

I’m poised to enter MMM 2010 and book accommodation. Does the presentation take place in the same hotel where the bus pick-up is - i.e. Falcons Nest Hotel?
Hi, I have just checked & the presentation is in the Falcons Nest again this year.
Hi!
Don’t forget that the 2010 MMM marks the 40th anniversary of the event. It started in 1970, but fell out in the year 2001 due to Foot and Mouth, making 2010 the 40th race. Don’t forget to celebrate!
Yours in sport,
George Broderick.
Hi
With the removal of reciprocal health care does anybody know of a good insurer for travel insurance to cover us for the race ?
Cheers
Hello,
Are you doing anything special for the 40th MMM? For example, is George Broderick, as innovator and organiser for many years being invited to take part? There’s probably a lot of people who have been involved over the years who would see this as a major landmark, including me, who spent at least ten MMMs operating the master checksheet with Vic from the Civil Defence (sadly no longer with us), the first few in a freezing landrover on top of South Barrule. Lots of memories. Wish you had a contact e.mail address.

I entered and got my accommodation booked. Will we get confirmation of receipt of entry - e.g. a list of entrants on-line or a postal acknowledgement? I entered a month ago and I’m on tenterhooks.
Nick.
